From 16th to 18th April 2010 the XIII A.I.A.S. Congress in San Marino

 
 
   
 

The A.I.A.S. Congress program for the 2010 year has been changed in the date, since now traditionally held on beginning of Autumn, now on beginning of Spring. But the opportunity  is worth  an exception.

  
   
 

A.I.A.S. members participating with their stones  to the A.I.A.S. Congress, will benefit  of the facilitation  of a pass costing 40 Euro instead of 50 Euro prefixed by the San Marino Organizers , for the three days’ event.

To obtain the pass and to secure oneself the display space  in the A.I.A.S. exhibition, it is necessary that every A.I.A.S.  member confirms his presence , informing our  Secretary :

The member shall also indicate if he intends to participate to the gala dinner and the number of people he intends to book.

The space allowed to the Suiseki Exhibition  of A.I.A.S. members will develop in 56 mt. length. This reality obliges  to reduce the number of stones for the 2010 year to the number of two  for every member. (See : Rules for admission to the Contest).

  
 

 
 

To every stone will be assigned a maximum space of 1 mtl.

 

This will imply  the wise choice of  the stones to be displayed and of the  accompanying items  which will be necessarily reduced.

 

The necessary selection by the Collector should  favour the quality of the suiseki exhibited.
 
 

Participants are informed that on Friday April 16th from 14 to 16 hrs. Mr.  Vito Di Venere, I.B.S. Instructor, will have a lecture/translation based on the comment by Jack and Sachiko Dennis on the  stones featured on the Catalogue of the U.B.I. Congress 2009 , titled “ Evaluation critique of the stones featured on the Catalogue of Best Bonsai and Suiseki and book of the Masterpieces of the XIII UBI Congress in Salerno”.  Mr. Jack Dennis has been the previous President  of the California Aiseki Kai.

  
 

Furthermore Mr. Vito Di Venere will be the judge of  the  A.I.A.S. Exhibition in Contest .

I.B.S. Instructor,  he cooperates, as Board member,  with his wife Elvira Manuti  in upholding the A.I.A.S. Secretary, was the first  A.I.A.S. President  for two consecutive terms and is actually Vice President of the European Suiseki Association  E.S.A..   

  
 

On Sunday April 18th it is programmed, cared  by A.I.A.S., a space dedicated to suiseki. The lecture will take place in the Titan Hall  between 14 and 18 hrs.  Successively the exact time will be indicated.
